SMOKE ALARM LAWS IN QUEENSLAND HAVE CHANGED
New legislation specifies that all Queensland dwellings will be required to have interconnected photoelectric smoke alarms in all bedrooms, in hallways that connect bedrooms with the rest of the dwelling and on every level From 1 January 2022 in all domestic dwellings leased and sold.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
Photoelectric is the newest technology and method used to detect smoke.
Interconnected is meaning hardwired/connected to a homes electrical system with a battery back-up power supply.
